Abstract

The present application relates to a secondary battery and a power consuming apparatus. A negative electrode plate in the secondary battery includes a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode film layer. The negative electrode film layer is disposed on at least one side of the negative electrode current collector. The negative electrode film layer includes a negative electrode active material. The negative electrode active material includes first graphite. A Dv50 particle size of the first graphite is 2.2 µm to 7.7 µm. An electrolyte solution includes an organic solvent and an organic additive. The organic solvent includes a first solvent. The first solvent includes cyclic carbonate. Based on a total mass of the organic solvent, a mass content of the first solvent is 25% to 40%. The organic additive includes a first additive and a second additive. The first additive includes vinylene carbonate. The second additive includes an ethylene carbonate derivative. Based on a total mass of the electrolyte solution, a mass percentage of the first additive in the electrolyte solution is 2% to 10%, and a mass percentage of the second additive in the electrolyte solution is 0.3% to 6%.
