Abstract

Disclosed are an electrolyte and a bipolar battery including the same. The electrolyte includes a first component, the first component being a compound shown by Formula I below, wherein R₁ and R₂ are each independently selected from any one of an alkyl group having 1-3 carbon atoms, an alkenyl group having 2-3 carbon atoms, and a substituent having 1-3 heteroatoms; the heteroatoms are nitrogen atoms and/or sulfur atoms. When the electrolyte containing the compound shown by Formula I of the present disclosure is applied in the bipolar battery, the bipolar battery exhibits a good high-temperature storage performance and a good high-temperature cycling performance.
