Abstract

An electronic device is disclosed, comprising a casing with a compartment that encloses an electronic circuit with one or more circuit parts provided on a flexible substrate. An attachment area of the flexible substrate is attached to a mounting plane inside the compartment. A pull tab extends from the attachment area and passes through a slot such that the pull tab is engageable from the outside of the compartment. A position of the slot with respect to the mounting plane is arranged for causing a local bending and/or stretching of the attachment area in response to a mechanical pull force on the pull tab. This creates a local stress concentration in the attachment area that propagates and detaches the flexible substrate from the mounting plane. The detached flexible substrate can be removed from the compartment through the slot.
