Abstract

A container refrigeration apparatus (10) includes a control unit (100) configured to control a pressure equalizing mechanism (40, 80) so that during a cooling operation for cooling of the inside of a container (1), the pressure equalizing mechanism (40, 80) performs a pressure equalizing action to equalize the pressure between the inside and the outside of the container (1) when the pressure detected by a pressure detection unit (P) is lower than a predetermined first pressure being lower than the atmospheric pressure.
