Abstract
A device (1) for determining characteristics of a surface of a test object (4) is provided. The device (1) comprises a light source (2) for irradiating a test object (4) with a light beam (LB1), at least one angle-sensitive optical element (6) for reflecting and/or transmitting the light beam (LB2) reflected and/or transmitted by the test object (4), an adjustment unit (7) for adjusting an orientation of the at least one angle-sensitive optical element (6) with respect to the light beam (LB2) reflected and/or transmitted by the test object (4), a detection unit (9) for detecting the light beam (LB3) reflected and/or transmitted by the at least one angle-sensitive optical element (6), and an analysis unit (10). The analysis unit (10) is configured to receive (S3) detection data provided by the detection unit (9), wherein the detection data comprises data of the detected light beam (LB3) reflected and/or transmitted by the at least one angle-sensitive optical element (6) at multiple different orientations of the at least one angle-sensitive optical element (6), analyze (S4) the received detection data in order to identify differences between the data at the multiple different orientations of the at least one angle-sensitive optical element (6), and determine (S5) the characteristics of the surface of the test object (4) based on the identified differences.
