Abstract

Some embodiments of a method may include: obtaining a hairstyle description corresponding to a hairstyle model, wherein the hairstyle description comprises three-dimensional (3D) orientation information and occupancy information; building a 3D array of grid cells using grid size and cell counts; filling the 3D array of grid cells with orientation and occupancy data; obtaining a target avatar head mesh registered to the hairstyle model and a hair growth region; and performing a hair growth process for each candidate strand of a full hairstyle.
