Abstract
A method of processing one or more blocks of a picture includes predicting one or more samples of a current block of the picture. Predicting the one or more samples of the current block includes processing a plurality of sub-partitions of the current block using a certain processing order, the certain processing order starting with a first sub-partition, and predicting a sub-partition, which follows the first sub-partition, using one or more reference samples from one or at least two different reference areas of at least three reference areas.
