Abstract

A method of processing one or more blocks of a picture is disclosed. The method includes predicting one or more samples of a current block of the picture. Predicting the one or more samples of the current block includes at least one of: processing a plurality of sub-partitions of the current block using a specific processing order or an inverse processing order, or processing a plurality of asymmetric sub-partitions of the current block. The inverse processing order starts with a sub-partition including a bottom-right sample of the current block, and the specific processing order processes the plurality of sub-partitions non-sequentially according to a defined or signaled processing order,
