Abstract
A method for controlling the distribution of commodity in a planting assembly (20) comprising: (802) identifying, with a controller (212, 504), a desired passage from at least a first passage (206, 404) and a second passage (208, 406) for a meter assembly (200, 400) to distribute a commodity into; and (804) selectively rotating a roller (218, 408) of the meter assembly, with the controller, in a first direction (416) to distribute commodity into the first passage and selectively rotating the roller of the meter assembly, with the controller, in a second direction (418) to distribute commodity into the second passage; wherein (806) the commodity is directed towards the first passage when the roller is rotated in the first direction and (808) commodity is directed towards the second passage when the roller is rotated in the second direction.
