Abstract

An aerosol generating device includes a main body and a cartridge detachably coupled to the main body, wherein the cartridge includes a storage tank storing an aerosol generating material, a heat generating structure configured to heat the aerosol generating material, and a wick configured to supply the aerosol generating material stored in the storage tank to the heat generating structure, the main body includes a cartridge detection circuit configured to detect a temperature of the heat generating structure of the cartridge, wherein a capacitor is not coupled to an output terminal of the cartridge detection circuit, and a processor electrically connected to the cartridge detection circuit, and the processor is configured to detect a temperature of the heat generating structure through the cartridge detection circuit and, on the basis of the detected temperature of the heat generating structure, control power supply to the cartridge.
