Abstract

There is disclosed an endoscope, including: an insertion unit including an illumination and imaging unit and an insertion tube; and an operating unit provided with an operating knob and configured to perform a bending operation of the insertion tube according to an operation of the operating knob, wherein the illumination and imaging unit includes an illumination and imaging unit body, an illumination module configured to illuminate light, a heat sink in contact with the illumination module, and a heat dissipation chassis provided to surround an outer circumferential surface of the illumination and imaging unit body and disposed to contact the heat sink to dissipate heat of the illumination module, so that the heat is dissipated using a large surface area of the heat dissipation chassis to prevent damage to a human body.
