Abstract

The present invention discloses a device for treating a tissue, comprising: a capsule extending longitudinally from a proximal end to a distal end and including a channel extending therethrough, the capsule releasably coupled to a proximal portion of the device; a first arm rigidly fixed to the distal end of the capsule to extend distally therefrom to a distal end; and a second arm slidably received within a longitudinal channel of the capsule, being releasably coupled at a proximal end to a control element extending proximal therefrom such that the second arm is movable between an open configuration and a closed configuration; wherein in the open configuration the second arm is moved laterally away from the first arm and the second arm distal end is moved distally past the first arm distal end, and in the closed configuration the second arm is moved toward the first arm and the second arm distal end is moved proximally toward the first arm distal end; and wherein the second arm is formed of a compliant material that includes Nitinol.
