Abstract

An electric wheelchair (100) includes an electric motor (21) mounted on a right wheel (10R), an electric motor (21) mounted on a left wheel (10L), a battery (30) that supplies a current to the electric motors (21), and a battery holder (40) that is disposed closer to the right wheel (10R) than a center of the electric wheelchair (100) in a left-right direction and houses the battery (30). The battery holder (40) opens toward an inward direction, which is a direction facing the center of the electric wheelchair (100) in the left-right direction, and toward a top of the electric wheelchair (100). The structure of the battery holder (40) enables to reduce the width of the vehicle body in the left-right direction when a frame (50) of the electric wheelchair (100) is folded without reducing the capacity of the battery (30).
