Abstract

New crosslinked hyaluronic acid gels are provided and use of same as canalicular occlusive devices and to treat dry eye disease. In one aspect, a composition for ocular administration is provided comprising a therapeutically effective amount of 1) crosslinked hyaluronic acid and 2) uncrosslinked hyaluronic acid, wherein the composition has i) a cohesivity value of at least 3 mg according to the drop weight method and ii) a G' elastic modulus of less than 400 Pa.
