Abstract

The present invention refers to an intermediate component for pneumatically connecting an air delivery tube to a respiratory treatment apparatus, the air delivery tube configured to deliver breathable gas provided by the respiratory treatment apparatus to a patient interface, said intermediate component comprising: an outlet end configured to connect to an air delivery tube; an inlet end configured to connect to the respiratory treatment apparatus; a sound port configured to facilitate propagation of sound outside of the intermediate component; and a sound permeable membrane configured to cover the port.
