Abstract

[Problem]To provide a painting robot capable of shortening the time required for wetting and wiping of a nozzle forming surface to improve painting productivity. [Solution]A painting robot (10) comprises: a painting head unit (50) including a painting head (53) having a plurality of nozzles (54); a robot arm (R1) having the painting head unit (50) fitted on a distal end thereof, the robot arm moving the painting head unit (50) to a desired position; and a wiping mechanism (200) for wiping a nozzle-forming surface (52) while wetting the nozzle-forming surface, wherein the wiping mechanism (200) includes a wiping member that slides on the nozzle-forming surface (52) while contacting the nozzle-forming surface, a guide mechanism (220) that is attached to the robot arm (R1) or the painting head unit (50) and that guides sliding of the wiping member (210) on the nozzle-forming surface (52), and a wiping actuator (230) that imparts a driving force for causing the wiping member (210) to slide on the nozzle-forming surface (52).
