Abstract
A cable tie 300, including: a head 301 within which an opening is disposed; an elongated member 311 fixed to the head; a plurality of teeth 304 fixed to and disposed along at least a portion of a length of the elongated member; and a locking member disposed within and fixed to an inside surface of the head; wherein: a free end of the elongated member is tapered to a point 306; and the cable tie is configured for single-handed use in securing one or more objects. The cable tie provides easier and more efficient single-handed operation while enhancing the safety of cable ties in various applications.
