Abstract

The present invention provides, as a method for synthesizing a peptide compound with high diastereoselectivity and in high yield even in the cases of fragment coupling, a method for producing a peptide compound or a salt thereof, comprising a step (linking step) of linking an amino group of a first amino acid or peptide and a carboxy group of a second amino acid or peptide with an amide bond in a two-layer solvent system containing water and one or more organic solvents that are not miscible with water.
