Abstract

In this insulating bearing, a mill scale surface is formed on at least a part of a contact surface of a bearing ring on which a resin layer is formed, the contact surface being in contact with the resin layer. Alternatively, instead of the mill scale surface, the surface roughness in the circumferential direction is roughened to Ra 3.2 µm or more or Sa 3.2 µm or more. As a result, the relative sliding between an outer ring and inner ring and an insulating film in the insulating bearing coated with the insulating film and the damage between the two surfaces due to the relative sliding can be prevented, and the deterioration of bearing accuracy and the occurrence of electrolytic corrosion can be suppressed for a longer period of time.
