Abstract

The invention relates to a filter accessory (10) for an extraction hob (100) and to a combination appliance (500) comprising the extraction hob and the filter accessory, the filter accessory (10) being adapted for being removably installed in a main air inlet opening (102) provided in a top plate (104) of the extraction hob (100), so that the filter accessory (10) at least partially protrudes above the top plate (104), the filter accessory (10) comprising: a cuboid filter housing (12) having four side walls (14) and a top wall (16) while being open at a bottom side, wherein the top wall (16) and/or at least one of the side walls (14) has an air inlet window (18), the filter accessory further comprising a filter assembly (20) accommodated in the filter housing (12), the filter assembly (20) having a planar filter surface portion (22) that is tilted with respect to the top wall (16) and to at least one of the side walls (14), and wherein the filter accessory (10) does not comprise an extraction fan installed in the filter housing (12).
