Abstract

An outdoor unit includes a casing, a refrigerant pipe, a refrigerant detection sensor, openings that communicate the inside and the outside of the casing, pipe connection parts, a first cover, and a second cover. The refrigerant pipe is disposed in the casing. A refrigerant flows through the refrigerant pipe. The refrigerant detection sensor is disposed in the casing. The openings that communicate the inside and the outside of the casing are formed on a side surface of the casing. The pipe connection parts connect the refrigerant pipe and a connection pipe extending from an indoor unit. The first cover includes a first portion, a second portion, and a coupling portion. The second cover covers the first cover. The coupling portion is disposed between the first portion and the second portion. The first cover covers the openings and the pipe connection parts. The first portion and the second portion of the first cover are openable and closable by relative movement via the coupling portion.
