Abstract

An appropriate map is generated from an image obtained by imaging a ground surface on the ground surface.A generation apparatus (202) including a processor (301) that executes a program, and a storage device (302) that stores the program stores terrain data (111) including position information of each point of terrain and obtained by modeling the terrain, first image data obtained by imaging a subject that is a part of the terrain from a first imaging point on the terrain, and position information of the first imaging point, and executes determination processing of determining a point as an allocation destination to which information regarding a specific pixel corresponding to a line-of-sight vector in a pixel group forming the first image data is to be allocated based on a direction of the line-of-sight vector from the first imaging point to the subject, and generation processing of generating map data (112) corresponding to the terrain by allocating the information regarding the specific pixel determined by the determination processing to the point as the allocation destination.
