Abstract

An image forming apparatus comprising, an internal load provided inside the image forming apparatus, a connection unit to which an external load is connectable, a power supply configured to supply power to the internal load and the external load, and a computation unit configured to calculate a power consumption value of the internal load, and acquire a device-specific power consumption value of the external load connected to the connection unit and perform computation including addition of the power consumption value of the internal load and the device-specific power consumption value of the external load.
