Abstract

A foldable electronic device according to various embodiments may include a housing including a first housing, a second housing, and a hinge housing positioned at least in part between the first housing and the second housing, a flexible display accommodated at least in part in the first housing and the second housing, and a hinge module connected to the first housing and the second housing. The hinge module may include a first shaft corresponding to a first rotation axis, a second shaft corresponding to a second rotation axis, and a first sink arm configured to rotate about the first rotation axis while the first housing rotates. The first sink arm may include a first through hole which the first shaft passes through and a first spiral portion. The hinge module may include a second sink arm configured to rotate about the second rotation axis while the second housing rotates. The second sink arm may include a second through hole which the first shaft passes through and a second spiral portion. The hinge module may include a sliding member configured to move in a direction parallel to the first rotation axis and the second rotation axis while at least one of the first housing or the second housing rotates. The sliding member may include a third through hole which the first shaft passes through, a fourth through hole which the second shaft passes through, a third spiral portion corresponding to the first spiral portion, and a fourth spiral portion corresponding to the second spiral portion. A folding portion of the flexible display may be positioned at least in part between a virtual line connecting a top of the third spiral portion and a top of the fourth spiral portion of the sliding member and the hinge housing, with the housing folded.
