Abstract

Methods, apparatuses, and products for accelerating queries using a multiple graphics processing units ('GPUs') in a GPU cluster, including: generating, by each GPU in the GPU cluster, a local representation of a portion of a dataset that is stored in memory of the GPU, wherein the entire dataset is distributed across the GPU cluster; broadcasting, by each GPU in the GPU cluster, its local representation to one or more other GPUs in the GPU cluster; and generating, by each GPU in the cluster and based on local representations received from the other GPUs in the GPU cluster, a global representation of the dataset; and transferring data elements stored in memory of a first GPU to one or more other GPUs in the GPU cluster, wherein the data elements are selected using the global representation of the dataset.
