Abstract
A computing device and a computer-implemented method of optimising a shape of an aquatic vessel part are provided. The method comprises obtaining (202) design data representing an initial 3D shape of an aquatic vessel part, and obtaining (204) a plurality of optimisation datasets, wherein the plurality of optimisation datasets relate to a respective plurality of performance areas of an aquatic vessel part. The method further comprises providing (206) the design data and the plurality of optimisation datasets to a shape optimisation application configured to generate output data representing an updated 3D shape of the aquatic vessel part optimised based on the plurality of optimisation datasets, and processing (208) the output data generated by the shape optimisation application.
