Abstract
A point cloud with attributes is obtained. Its geometry is encoded and decoded. Holes are detected in the decoded geometry and points are added at these locations to obtain a reconstructed geometry. The attributes of the point cloud are transferred on this reconstructed geometry and, the decoded geometry and the transferred attributes are encoded in a data stream. At the decoding side, a data stream representative of a point cloud is obtained. The geometry is decoded, and holes are detected to obtain a reconstructed geometry. The attributes of the point cloud are transferred on this reconstructed geometry to obtain a point cloud with attributes.
