Abstract

An information processing apparatus includes: an image acquisition unit that acquires an image including a facial recognition area that is set in one area of a first area and a second area, which are partitioned by a gate apparatus that reads ticket information and performs an operation of opening/closing a gate based on the read ticket information; a facial recognition unit that performs facial recognition on an authentication subject included in the image, based on the image; and a control unit that performs, based on a result of the facial recognition, at least one of controlling the gate apparatus to open or close the gate, and displaying information.
