Abstract

In accordance with a first aspect of the present disclosure, an access device is provided, comprising: an ultra-wideband (UWB) ranging unit configured to perform one or more ranging operations; a gait determination unit configured to determine a gait of a user of the access device; a processing unit configured to analyze the gait determined by the gait determination unit and to allow the UWB ranging unit to perform said ranging operations in dependence on a result of analyzing said gait. In accordance with further aspects of the present disclosure, a corresponding operating method is conceived, and a corresponding computer program is provided.
