Abstract

The present invention relates to a positive electrode active material, a method for manufacturing same, and a positive electrode and a lithium secondary battery comprising same, wherein the positive electrode active material comprises a lithium-rich manganese-based oxide which comprises a Li<2>MnO<3> phase and a LiMO<2> phase (where M is an element comprising at least one selected from Ni, Co, and Mn), wherein the lithium-rich manganese-based oxide is in the form of a single particle and has a single crystallinity (χ) of between 0.51 and 0.70 according to formula 1 described in the present specification.
