Abstract

Disclosed are composite substrates and rechargeable lithium batteries. The composite substrate includes a first metal layer, a second metal layer, and a function enhancement layer between the first metal layer and the second metal layer. The function enhancement layer includes a tab portion and a middle portion. The tab portion is on at least one end in a first direction of the function enhancement layer. The tab portion extends substantially parallel to a third direction. The middle portion is a remaining part of the function enhancement layer except for the tab portion. A welding adhesion of the tab portion is greater than a welding adhesion of the middle portion. An elongation at break of the middle portion is greater than an elongation at break of the tab portion.
