Abstract

A battery cell (100, 100') includes an electrode assembly (110) including a positive electrode (111), a negative electrode (113), and a separator (115) between the positive electrode (111) and the negative electrode (113), a case (130) accommodating the electrode assembly (110), the case (130) including an opening (131h), a cap plate (150) connected to the case (130) while covering the opening (131h), and an insulator (170) between an inner circumferential surface of the case (130) and the electrode assembly (110), the insulator (170) being configured to prevent heat generated in the case (130) from being transferred to an outside.
