Abstract

A secondary battery (100) and a battery pack (1) including the same are disclosed. A secondary battery (100) includes a case (101) including an opening (160), an electrode assembly (200) accommodated in the case (101), an electrode tab (301, 302, 310, 320) connected to the electrode assembly (200), a cap plate (501) closing the opening (160), a terminal (530, 540) coupled to the cap plate (501), and a current collecting member (400A, 400B, 400C, 400D) including a plate portion (401) coupled to the electrode tab (301, 302, 310, 320) and configured to allow a current flow therebetween, a terminal coupling part protruding from the plate portion (401) to be coupled to the terminal (530, 540) and configured to allow a current flow therebetween, and a heat capacity increasing part protruding from the plate portion (401) without contacting a portion of the cap plate (501) and the terminal (530, 540).
