Abstract

A cooling medium supplied from an outside is used to efficiently cool heat-generation portions of a rotary electrical machine. In a rotary electrical machine 1 including a rotating shaft 8; bearings 16 and 21 that support the rotating shaft 8; a stator 26; and a housing 2 that accommodates the rotor 10, the bearings 16 and 21, and the stator 26, a bearing accommodating portion 31 having a cylindrical shape that accommodates the bearings 16 and 21 is formed integrally with an end bracket 30 that holds one end side of a cylindrical portion 3 of the housing 2. In the end bracket 30, flow passages (42 and 43) for a cooling medium supplied from an outside are formed, and the axial flow passage 43 extending in an axial direction is branched to form a first flow passage 44 connected to a nozzle 50 that sprays the cooling medium onto an end face of the rotor 10, and a second flow passage 45 connected to a nozzle 55 that sprays the cooling medium onto the bearings 16 and 21.
