Abstract

This application relates to the field of communication technologies, and discloses a communication method, an electronic device, and a storage medium. The communication method includes: When a first terminal device has performed a connection to a first wireless access device based on a first channel (for example, a dynamic frequency selection channel), it may be determined whether both a configuration of the first terminal device and a configuration of a second terminal device support performing peer-to-peer communication in the first channel. When it is determined that both the configurations support establishing peer-to-peer communication in the first channel, peer-to-peer communication between two terminal devices may be established based on the foregoing first channel accessing a network. According to the foregoing solution, it can be ensured that a channel for communication between a device of at least one end and a wireless access device is the same as a channel for peer-to-peer communication between two terminal devices, to effectively reduce occurrence of a scenario in which the terminal device performs time division switching between different channels, increase time for transmitting data in a peer-to-peer channel, and avoid a phenomenon like picture freezing, thereby improving user experience.
