Abstract

A lamp driving system and an air conditioner including the same include a lamp, and a lamp driver configured to supply power to the lamp to turn on the lamp, wherein the lamp driver includes a switch, a transformer to which the switch is connected on a primary side and the lamp is connected on a secondary side, and a controller configured to supply a control signal to the switch, wherein the controller performs control such that a first switching frequency for the switch in a first turn-on mode for turning on the lamp is lower than a second switching frequency of a second turn-on mode after the first turn-on mode, and on-duty values of the first turn-on mode and the second turn-on mode are equal.
