Abstract
Provided is stator manufacturing method capable of suppressing twisting of projecting portions of segment coils along with circumferentially bending thereof. It positions a restraint jig 19 between axial base portions 11a of the projecting portions 11 adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction. The restraint jig 19 has grooves 25 corresponding to the base portions 11a adjacent in the circumferential direction. It relatively displaces coil ends 9a as tip ends of the projecting portions 11 with respect to the stator core 3 in the circumferential direction, to enter the base portions 11a of the projecting portions 11 into adjacent respective grooves 25 of the restraint jig 19 and bend the projecting portions 11 while the base portions are restrained in a radial direction of the stator core 3.
