Abstract
The present disclosure relates to a device and method for performing semantic communication in a wireless communication system. The method performed by a first device may comprise the steps of: receiving a synchronization signal; receiving control information from a second device; and transmitting, to the second device, at least one task-specific semantic representation (SR) related to at least one task indicated by the second device among SRs generated by an encoder supporting a plurality of tasks, the at least one task-specific SR having been processed on the basis of an index for the at least one task.
