Abstract
A closing wheel system (100) is disclosed. The closing wheel system (100) comprising: a first linkage arm (105a) and a second linkage arm (105b); and a first closing wheel (109a) attached to a first closing wheel arm (107a); and wherein the first linkage arm (105a) and the second linkage arm (105b) cooperate to create a castering effect about a virtual pivot point that is a distance away from the first and second linkage arms (105a, 105b), and wherein a turning radius of the closing wheel (109a) caused by the castering effect is at least as long as a turning radius of a towing frame to which the closing wheel system (100) is coupled.
