Abstract
An X-ray imaging system generates a first image comprising an attenuation image and at least a second image of a different type. An image is generated for display comprising the first image. An analysis is performed of the first image and/or the second image to detect image characteristics which warrant further investigation by the user of the imaging system. An image overlay is the applied to the image for display if said image characteristics are detected that warrant said further investigation. In this way, the user is only presented with multi-image information when it is suitable to do so.
