Abstract
Cushioning pad for cushioning one or more body parts of a patient undergoing a therapeutic or diagnostic procedure, comprising: a first foam layer having a first unloaded thickness and a first compression stress value; and a second foam layer having a second unloaded thickness and a second compression stress value, wherein the first compression stress value and the second compression stress value are each expressed as a pressure required to compress the respective foam layer to 40% of its unloaded thickness in accordance with ISO 3386-1, characterized in that the first compression stress value is at least two times as large as the second compression stress value.
