Abstract

This casing (1) includes: a body (2) delimiting an inner cavity for receiving the injection device (5), the body (2) including a proximal end (204) and a distal end (202) configured for axially abutting against an injection site; a proximal stop (22) configured for blocking distal movement of the injection device (5) at a predetermined axial position within the body (2); a locker (3) for axially blocking the injection device (5) within the body (2), the locker (3) being movable with respect to the body (2) between an unlocked position allowing insertion or removal of the injection device (5), and a locked position in which the locker (3) prevents removal of the injection device (5) from the body (2); and a cap (4) removably attached to the body (2), the cap (4) including a gripping member (43) configured for gripping a needle shield (54) of the injection device (5), such that removal of the cap (4) from the body (2) entails removal of the needle shield (54) from the injection device (5), and a release element (44) configured for releasing the needle shield (54).
