Abstract

The watercraft propulsion system (100) includes first and second propulsion devices (3, 4), a joystick (6), a joystick button (61), and a main controller (101). The first and second propulsion devices (3, 4) are attached to a hull (2) of a watercraft. The joystick (6) operates the first and second propulsion devices (3, 4). The joystick button (61) is operated for issuing a command of transitioning to a joystick mode (M2) for operating the first and second propulsion devices (3, 4) with the joystick (6). The main controller (101) deactivates the joystick mode (M2) based on change in state of the first and second propulsion devices (3, 4) between a stopped state and a started state under the joystick mode (M2).
