Abstract

An ultrahigh-molecular-weight polyethylene powder having intrinsic viscosity IV of 12.0 dL/g or more and 35.0 dL/g or less, and having a mobility index of 57 ms or more and 73 ms or less, as determined from the following (formula I): Mobility Index = Tα × Rα / Rα + Rβ + Tβ × Rβ / Rα + Rβ <img class="EMIRef" id="23d22701-781f-4d74-be0c-eae8d770b3da-ia01" /> wherein Tα represents a relaxation time (ms) of a low-mobility component α, Rα represents an abundance proportion of the low-mobility component α, Tβ represents a relaxation time (ms) of an intermediate component β, Rβ represents an abundance proportion of the intermediate component β, and the Tα, Rα, Tβ and Rβ are values obtained by approximating a free induction decay curve obtained by the Carr Purcell Meiboom Gill method with pulse NMR, to three components of the low-mobility component α, the intermediate component β and a high-mobility component γ.
