Abstract

An object of the present invention is to provide a heat-shrinkable polyester film that suppresses the deterioration of shrinkage finish property accompanying performance deterioration after aging and contains a larger amount of a recycled polyester raw material useful for reducing the environmental burden. The heat-shrinkable polyester film contains a polyester composition containing 1% by mass or more and 50% by mass or less of a mechanically recycled and/or chemically recycled polyester. The heat-shrinkable polyester film has a shrinkage stress of 3.0 MPa or more and 15.0 MPa or less and an intrinsic viscosity of 0.58 dl/g or more and 0.75 dl/g or less. An area proportion of a region having a molecular weight of 1000 or less is 1.0% or more and 6.0% or less of a total peak area in a molecular weight distribution curve obtained by gel permeation chromatography. The heat-shrinkable polyester film has a heat shrinkage rate of 20.0% or more and 80.0% or less in a main shrinkage direction when the heat-shrinkable polyester film is immersed in hot water at 90 for 10 seconds.
