Abstract
Provided are a rubber composition for a sidewall, the rubber composition being capable of producing a sidewall that has excellent resistance to flexural fatigue and is capable of improving low fuel consumption performance, and a sidewall formed at least in part from the rubber composition.A rubber composition for a sidewall contains 0.1 to 30 parts by mass of a modified liquid diene-based rubber (B) having a functional group derived from a silane compound satisfying specific conditions, and 5 to 80 parts by mass of a specific filler (C) including a specific silica (C1), with respect to 100 parts by mass of a solid rubber (A) containing natural rubber and/or isoprene rubber (A1) and butadiene rubber (A2).
