Abstract

A nonwoven, a method for making such a nonwoven and the use of waste carbon to make such a nonwoven. The nonwoven has a total carbon content (TCC) from which 10% to 100% of the TCC of the nonwoven are derived from waste carbon. The nonwoven meets one or more of the criteria a) to e) by comprising less thana) 5000 µg/kg of iso-Nonylphenolhexaethoxylate;b) 500 µg/kg of iso-Nonylphenol;c) 4.0 ng/kg of Octachlorodibenzodioxin;d) 500 µg/kg of Di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate; and/ ore) 25 µg/kg of Napthalene.
