Abstract

The present invention is a work assistance system that enables an operator to recognize a positional relationship between a work mechanism and a target object with high accuracy. The work assistance system includes an image generation part and a change processing part. The image generation part generates a work assistance image in which an index image (M1, M2) indicating a ground projection spot (P21, P22) at which a designated part (P11, P12) of a distal attachment (445) is projected onto the ground surface is superimposed on the work environment image. When at least one of a work machine, a work site, and the distal attachment (445) is a change target, the change processing part executes specification information change processing for changing specification information of the work machine as a basis for estimation of the ground projection spot to adapt the specification information to the change target.
