Abstract
In a rotary compressor, when viewed in an axial direction, a region that overlaps a cylinder chamber (S1) between a blade (38) and a thin portion (52) is defined as a first region (77); a region that overlaps the cylinder chamber (S1) between the blade (38) and a suction port is defined as a second region (78); and when a piston (35) is located at a bottom dead center, a gap (CR1) between part of an outer edge of the piston (35) that corresponds to the first region (77) and part of a closing member (50) that corresponds to the first region (77) is larger than a gap (CR2) between part of the piston (35) that corresponds to the second region (78) and part of the closing member (50) that corresponds to the second region (78).
