Abstract

The present invention relates to a method, comprising:obtaining, by a computing device, a plurality of tests to be performed by an Automated Laboratory System (ALS) on a biological sample,determining, by the computing device among the plurality of tests, one or more tests that are to be carried out on a centrifuged portion of the biological sample and one or more tests that are to be carried on a uncentrifuged portion of the biological sample, andfor each sample container of the plurality of sample containers, assigning, by the computing device, a respective set of tests of the plurality of tests to said each sample container, such that said respective set of tests assigned to said each sample container comprises either only tests that are to be carried out on a centrifuged portion of the biological sample or only tests that are to be carried out on an uncentrifuged portion of the biological sample. In particular each sample container of the plurality of container contains or is to contain a respective portion of the biological sample.
